The average full-time worker in Spain earns €32,678 a year before tax and takes home €24,985 after income tax and social security contributions (OECD, 2025, a single worker without children). Divided by 2,080 working hours, an hour of work pays €12.01.
An iPhone 18 Pro: €1,469 ÷ €12.01 = 122 hours. The first three weeks of January, and the fourth until Monday 11 am.
A Tesla Model Y: €40,990 ÷ €12.01 = 3,413 hours. A whole working year, and the next until late August.
