The sums

The average full-time worker in Poland earns PLN 105,738 a year before tax and takes home PLN 79,900 after income tax and social security contributions (OECD, 2025, a single worker without children). Divided by 2,080 working hours, an hour of work pays PLN 38.41.

An iPhone 18 Pro: PLN 6,299 ÷ PLN 38.41 = 164 hours. The first four weeks of January, and the fifth until Monday 1 pm.
